Professional designers create amazing work, but the most personal and creative ideas often come from everyday Mac users who know exactly what they want on their desktop. That’s why we made the submission process as simple and transparent as possible.
Step-by-Step: How to Submit Your Wallpaper
- Create or edit your live wallpaper (MP4 or MOV, up to 4K, seamless loop recommended)
- Open WallpaperMacOS and go to the “Community” tab (or use the web form on our site)
- Upload your file and add a short title + description
- Choose relevant tags (nature, abstract, cyberpunk, minimal, etc.)
- Submit — our team reviews every submission within 48 hours
Quality Guidelines (What We Look For)
- Seamless looping — no visible jump or cut at the end
- Properly optimized encoding (HEVC preferred for 4K)
- High visual quality and good composition
- Respectful and appropriate content (no explicit material)
- Original work or proper attribution if based on someone else’s content
What Happens After You Submit?
After review, approved wallpapers are added to the official library and become instantly available to every WallpaperMacOS user. We also give full credit to the creator both inside the app and on the blog.
